Welcome to the Centre for Fun & Families
We are celebrating World Mental Health Day on 10 October 2018 - the focus is on young people’s mental health in a changing world. Here at Centre for Fun and Families we regularly see the impact that anxiety can have on young people, their families and their futures. This World Mental Health Day we want to help more young people who are struggling with anxiety by raising money to fund places on our Overcoming Anxiety programme. You can join in - see our attached leaflet for more details.
The Centre for Fun and Families is a registered charity established in 1990 (no.1128547).
The objectives of our organisation are to assist and support parents, carers and teenagers who are experiencing behaviour and communication difficulties with their families.
Behaviour and communication problems are common within all families at some point during their parenting journey and without our support they can cause lasting and costly problems for the individual, the local community and society at large; children and young people may fail to reach their full potential, families may suffer breakdown and the impact on future generations of parents can be insurmountable.
The Centre strengthens family relationships and improves the life skills and outcomes of children and young people through the development and promotion of effective, award-winning, group work programmes that have been individually designed and pioneered by Centre staff.
We are proud to have been successfully promoting support and positive parenting to families for over 25 years, with the aim of bringing the fun back into family life.
